A new plugin for WP1.5 that uses the CG-Referrer blacklist, and lots of tricks,
to better filter spam comments/etc. from hitting your website.
VERY LITTLE DOCUMENTATION YET! BRAND NEW!
Basic overview:
- Activate the plugin.
- Note the AntiSpam menu in the Admin interface. Go to it.
- Main page just shows status. It might have options/controls at some point
- Tag will go through the comments data and mark what CG-AntiSpam thinks is
spam. THERE'S NO WAY TO UNDO THIS WITHIN CG-ANTISPAM AT THE MOMENT.
However, it does not REMOVE the spam, just tags it, and WP won't show it.
- Show will list out the first bunch of comments that have been tagged as
spam, either by manually using the Tag page, or through normal plugin auto
functioning.
- Flush will NUKE PERMANENTLY all comments tagged as spam, whether tagged
by the WP spam features, or by CG-AntiSpam. THERE'S NO TURNING BACK...
- I've used an earlier variation on this code for almost a year on my
own website, but THIS IS AS-IS. No warranty, no responsibility for lost
comments/data on your site. (Hate to have to write that out, but...)
- MORE DOCUMENTATION TO COME. PLUS MORE INTERFACE CONTROL, BLACKLIST
CONTROL/UPDATING, possibly even whitelist stuff... we'll see.
